What are the cat killing videos?
Magnotta posted his first video in 2010 which saw him killing two kittens, before later footage showed another kitten being eaten alive by a Burmese python called “Python Christmas”.
One of the videos was titled “1 boy 2 kittens” and showed an individual deliberately suffocating two kittens with a vacuum.
A private Facebook group identified Magnotta because the person within the videos in January 2011.
A team of Internet users, who were already trying to locate Luka for previous videos he uploaded of him killing kittens, adopted various sleuthing techniques to trace the killer down.
In the video, Luka are often seen straddling Lin Jun, who was tied to the bed post in Magnotta's bedroom.
Luka then proceeds to stab Lin Jun within the chest with what appears to be an ice pick; it had been later revealed to be a screw driver that had been modified to look like an ice pick.
After stabbing Lin's chest, Luka dismembers his body and also feeds flesh to a dog, before killing the puppy.
As well as dumping Lin Jun's torso within the rubbish, Luka sent the victim's left foot to the Conservative Party of Canada, then his right to the Liberal Party.

How was the cat killer caught?
After Luka's initial cat killer videos were uploaded and shared online, a Facebook group of cat lovers seeking justice was formed.
The group was made up of various members, including Deanna Thompson and John Green, who traced Luka's identity and whereabouts through items like plug sockets and a vacuum seen within the graphic video footage.
They determined that the cat killer was located in Canada, and their beat the years significantly helped authorities afterward, when Lin Jun's body was discovered.
Magnetto then escaped the country and fled to France, where he hid out in a hotel in Bagnolet.
While police traced Luka's movements, he had already escaped by the time the police received the scene.
Eventually, Luka was apprehended by police at a web cafe in Berlin, Germany.
Due to the character of Luka's crimes, airlines refused to maneuver him back to Canada, meaning Magnetto was returned to his motherland in an air force jet.
In another shocking development within the case, Luka insisted he was forced into completing these horrific crimes by an individual called Emmanuel 'Manny' Lopez.
